A few words from Elsa

Elsa, founder and author of ElsaVision, in Dalarna, Sweden

I write everything on this site – the long reads on tarot, the quieter notes on psychology, the seasonal pieces, all of it. I’ve been working with the cards for eleven years and collected over a hundred decks along the way. I live  in Dalarna, in central Sweden, in a  house where most of those decks live with me.

Eleven years ago I was the person who didn’t know what to do next. The cards became part of how I found my way back.
Everything here grows out of that experience- practical, psychological, sometimes mystical, but never empty.

"The cards don't tell you what will happen. They tell you what's already true."

Tarot is the most precise mirror I’ve found. Not for
predicting what will happen – that’s the boring part, and the cards are often wrong about it. But for seeing what’s already happening: the thing you sense but haven’t named
yet, the pattern repeating quietly under the surface, the question you’ve been avoiding.

A reading is a conversation with the part of yourself that already knows. The cards just give it shape.

On this site you’ll find the meanings of every Major and Minor Arcana card – written the way they actually work, not the way they’re copied across the internet. You’ll also find spreads, ritual work with the cards, and notes from eleven years of practice.

"Tarot without inner work is decoration. Inner work without symbols is harder than it needs to be."

Psychology

Almost everything we call esoteric is, at its core, the work of the psyche. The cards work better when you’ve done some inner work. The rituals land deeper when you know what you’re actually doing them for. So psychology isn’t a separate topic on this site – it’s the ground everything else stands on.

Here I write about the things that don’t have easy names. The tiredness that sleep doesn’t fix. The way the same situation keeps coming back wearing a different face. The quiet decisions we make about ourselves without noticing.

This is the territory tarot was made for – and the part of  life I keep returning to, both in my own work and in what I write here.

Psychology and inner work — quiet practice and reflection

Other ways into the work

Different lenses for different moments — used alongside tarot and psychology.

Personal year readings, life path numbers, and the meaning of the patterns that keep appearing on the clock and in your dates. Useful when you want to understand the timing behind what’s happening.

The full and new moon cycles, what each phase asks of you, and how to work with the rhythm instead of against it. Quiet guidance for the people who feel the moon more than they admit.

A short, practical reading of what today carries – what to lean into, what to be careful with, what’s worth your attention. Two minutes to read, enough to shift the day. Just follow energy…

people in ritual

Constellation rituals, seasonal practices, and other focused esoteric work – the kind that actually changes something when done with intention and care.

Where most people start

Three articles I’d recommend if you’re new here.

Recent reflections, readings, and ideas.

"Stay with what makes you slow down. That's usually the answer."

Stay a little longer

If something here resonated, there are three quiet places you could go next:

The psychology of the kind of tiredness rest doesn’t fix
What the Star card actually means, beyond hope and wishes
A daily reading of what today is asking for

There is more here than there seems…
